The show must go on! Thats what happened on Friday night at the departure fashion show with an amazing line-up of Austrian fashion labels: brandmair, Mühlbauer, Petar Petrov, rosa mosa and superated presented Austrian fashion design on an international level. brandmair, Petar Petrov, rosa mosa and superated were supported by departure funding programmes. The Mühlbauer show was supported by Victoria Volksbanken.
Star model Andrej Pejic on the runway added extra glam to the show.
Already at the afternoon festival guests were provided exciting insights into the collections of the Kunsthistorisches

Thursday - AFA day!
But before the great show began, the KHM organized a special guided tour through the Picture
Gallery of the Kunsthistorisches Museum - and demonstrated that fashion has always played a major role in paintings.
And then it began! The tension rose to a peak, not only among the nominees! And also the decision of the AFA jury was probably
not an easy one considering the highly talented nominees.
Voilà, we congratulate the following winners!

9/6/2011: Fascination Fashion - yesterday and today
Guided tour through the Picture Gallery of the Kunsthistorisches Museum
In paintings, fashion has always played a major role as garments serve as social codes through which its wearers are identifiable in public and in this way shape the image of the different societal strata. The tour through the Picture Gallery comes up with interesting stories revolving around historic fashion.
