brandmaier is the label of Upper Austrian Claudia Brandmair. Unlike many of her colleagues she did not acquire her skills at university but, from her early childhood on, at her mother's tailoring studio. A characteristic of her collections is the highly individual mix of materials, patterns and forms. That also applies to her latest women's wear collection - leather skirt, pants and a turtleneck sweater predominantly in black and grey shades with subtly detailed cuts.
Mühlbauer (est. 1903) ranges among one of Austrians most renowned family companies and is run by Klaus Mühlbauer in the fourth generation. In his work, he concentrates on hats ? the traditional company?s core business. With his sister Marlies Mühlbauer he designs hat collections in their own Viennese manufacture. With the help from distinctive hatters and modistes Mühlbauer managed a repositioning in the field of contemporary fashion.
The Bulgarian-born Petar Petrov graduated from the Fashion Department at the University of Applied Arts Vienna under Raf Simons. For years, he has been presenting his women's and men's wear collections at Paris Fashion Week and in this way established an international customer base that reaches up to Asia and the US. His latest men's wear collection FW 11/12 is typically darkly coloured, mustard yellow and wine-red jackets and pullovers provide for colour contrasts. Special eyecatcher: fabric mixtures of leather and knitwear.
superated (est. 2005) won the Award for International PR in 2010. Ever since, the two men behind the Viennese label - designer Peter Holzinger and his business partner Christian Moser - have been busy working on their first women's wear collection Two Spirit which was presented in Paris this spring. Extravagant vests and capes made of sheep leather are only two of the many highlights in this collection.
