The seminar gives an exciting and well-grounded insight in the social trends 2013/2014 under the theme “Romanticism or the way we feel”. The aspects fashion, textiles, design, interior, architecture, colors and materials will be dealt with.

“Romanticism is found precisely neither in the choice of subjects nor in exact truth, but in a way of feeling.” Charles Baudelaire

The important trend “romanticism” will use folk art, ancient craftsmanship as well as authentic costumes of that time as a source of inspiration for our present day design and music.

Freedom for rules, adoration of nature, fascination of the past and devotion to beauty are certainly fixtures in this “Romantic Movement”.

In the future, the revival of the Romantic Movement will be embodied once more by artists, designers, fashion designers, musicians and through literature. This group will also have a big influence on the education and structures of our society. With this revival and a focus on the humanities a counter movement to our market- and business oriented universities will be created.

The trend book romanticism or the way we feel has 13 new themes: mystic, melancholic, nostalgic, organic, lyric, folkloric, Germanic, symbolic, Gothic, shamanic, nomadic, poetic and tragic.
