With award money of 10,000.00 EUR, so fresh. the jewellery award by Pierre Lang has evolved into one of the most coveted
awards for contemporary jewellery design. This is not only reflected in the large number of entries from jewellery designers
from all over Europe but also in their great variety and high level of quality.
An international jury of jewellery
and fashion experts named Düsseldorf-based Matthias Grotevent this years winner. The award ceremony and the live presentation
of the award winning collection will take place tomorrow, 4 June, at Semperdepot.
On the same evening, the two talents,
Hanna Hedman from Stockholm and Veronika Meierhofer from Linz, additionally nominated by the jury, will also present their
designs in a live show.
After the shows there will be another chance to take a close look at the jewellery pieces
and meet the designers.
This years jury was made up of Maia Adams (Editor and Publisher,
UK), Isabelle Aout (Style Office Director, Maison Martin Margiela, FR) Andrew Blyszak (Valery Demure Press & Sales
Agency for Jewellery, UK), Ruudt Peters (Jewellery Designer, NL) and Carola Stütz (Design Director, Pierre Lang Europe, AT).
