Hauff was a work in progress and
a joint project, a storybook that told a spine-chilling fairytale in beautiful pictures, collages composed of photographed
and painted elements. The main characters in the fairytale wear costumes by young Austrian designers. Those involved in the
project - photographers, artists, designers and musicians from Slovakia and Austria - saw themselves as a group whose
interdisciplinary work creates a new shared aesthetic.
From
27 June to 17 July 2003 prints showing plans, sketches and collages from the book were exhibited at Unit F büro für mode
as an introduction to the characters and content of the story. The text was laid out on the floor in the form of cut-out letters
and changed in the course of the exhibition through the interaction of the visitors. The new text that resulted became part
of a handmade book presented on 17 July 2003.
