Co-owned by award-winning conceptual artist Doreen Southwood and Kirsty Bannerman of Mungo and Jemima (another fine fashion store just across the street that is home to both new and established Cape Town design talent), MeMeMe provides a showcase store for innovative young Cape Town fashion designers such as Richard de Jager, David West, Seth Harper and Pink Ant as well as their own designs.

Situated on buzzing Long Street, once you’re buzzed in the white polka dot security gate and have stepped over the faux grass doormat, the breezy chiffons, volume skirts, and tailored couture pieces that adorn the racks will give you a definite idea of where contemporary fashion is headed in South Africa.
