After studying fashion design at the College for Art and Design Burg Giebichenstein Halle/Saale (Germany),
designer Sandra Schmidt worked for Jessica Ogden in London and FKK in Hamburg before founding her own label MANGELWARE in
She has since presented 2 womenswear collections a year in Paris, Berlin and Tokyo.
MANGELWARE stands for a distinctive, individual style, dissolving and thus redefining the boundaries between everyday wear and evening wear. The focus is on a clear design, unconventional cuts and high-quality materials, such as flowing jersey materials and fine knits.
The old and the new, the familiar and unconventional are combined, finding expression in the progressive use of traditional textile techniques, such as pleating and smocking, and the use of modern digital printing methods.
In all collections MANGELWARE deliberately and impressively demonstrates a relaxed approach to fashion combined with elegance and clarity.
Today MANGELWARE is available at select shops in Europe and Japan.
