Marios Schwab first completed the School for Textile and Clothing Engineering in Annahof, Salzburg, with distinction,
then graduated from ESMOD in Berlin at the top of his year. Afterwards he studied product design at Goldsmiths before
completing his degree at Central Saint Martins with an MA in womenswear.
Already back
then, the magazine ‘The Face’ predicted a great career as the next big thing for the designer with Greek-Austrian
roots. After designing the SS 04 collection for Kim Jones, Jones raved about him:
“I’ve come to admire
Schwab’s natural sense of elegance and his intimate understanding of the body. He is like a sculptor who works with fabric”.
In
2005 Schwab presented his first solo collection FW 05/06 at London Fashion Week with support from Beverly Streeter and Tal
Brener and he has been showing in London ever since.
