080 Barcelona Fashion Week is an initiative of the Catalan fashion-action plan commissioned by the Ministry for Innovation. It was conceived to revitalise the textile industry of the region and to boost cooperations with the booming fashion design sector. This fashion-action plan is a long-term project focusing on the following: internationalisation, the combination of creative potential and industry, a restructuring and expansion of possibilities for the financial support of projects and talents and, last but not least, the initiation of an international fashion event in Barcelona: 080 Barcelona Fashion Week.
Last year, Vienna-based designer Petar Petrov showed his collection in a fashion show, this year Austrian designer Claudia Rosa Lukas will present her designs at the showroom of 080.
