Magic Mushrooms

Joop creates his Magic Mushrooms for Wiener Silber Manufactur that form a sumptuous table piece, held together by invisible magnets.

What can be found out about the project by now is not very much but makes curious! The draft of the German fashion designer is said to show a tension between naturalistic features and stylisation that hints at the intoxicant, poisonous aspects within the harmonious forms.

We are looking forward to it, on May 27 the Magic Mushrooms will be presented at the cupola hall of Kunsthistorisches Museum and the master himself will explain his work in a talk with Maria Rennhofer.
