Photography as the key medium of our communication society is equally a pool of ideas for popular culture, fashion and design. Fashion photography in particular is increasingly dominating the visual world. In order to provide a stage for this environment essential for the fashion scene, the Unit F Editorial Award, in collaboration with GoSee, was in 2010 for the first time meant to be awarded in three categories: Fashion, Portrait, and Still Life.
Although the award had
been advertised in the entire German-speaking world for the first time as well, the awards for Fashion and Portrait again
went to Austrian photographers. The category Still Life was left without a winner by the jury comprising of Ulrike Tschabitzer-Handler
(Unit F büro für mode), Frank Schmitz (GoSee), Kozva Rigaud (Shotview), Eduard Böhler (Creativ Club Austria) and Kira Stachowitsch
(Indie Mag).
The Unit F Editorial Award 2010 powered by GoSee for Fashion goes to London-based
photographer Rosa Rendl. The Editorial Award in the category Portrait goes to renowned Klemens
Horvath of Vienna for his portraits of German actor August Diehl.
