The Swiss Textiles Award with prize money of EUR 100,000.00 is considered one of the most important fashion awards and is geared towards emerging fashion designers. In 2009 Peter Pilotto was among the nominees.

On 4 November six finalists will again present their designs at Puls 5 as part of the Fashion Days Zurich.

On view will be Adam Kimmel, an American menswear designer who recently sent his models down the catwalk wearing masks, Duru Olowu from Great Britain who gained international reputation with the Duro dress which in 2004 was celebrated by Vogue, Greek-born Mary Katrantzou whose prints also caused a stir at this year’s London Fashion Week, American Jason Wu, Croatian-born Damir Doma and Juun.J from Korea.

The winner will be announced on the night after the presentation of the collections. Next to the creativity of the show, important criteria for receiving this award are innovation as well as the commercial potential of the collections.
