Austrian Fashion Week

In the early years of its support activities, the basement rooms of Unit F büro für mode were the scene of a small but exquisite presentation of the Austria Fashion Awards before a selected audience.

 

Starting in 2002, the public profile of the awards ceremony began to take on new dimensions and the presentation platform grew more impressive year after year. The gala for invited guests at the Museum der Stadt Wien/Karlsplatz spawned Austrian Fashion Week, which in the following three years was held at Kunsthalle Wien and selected city venues. Thanks to these developments, an increasingly wide audience began to take an avid and active interest in the theme of fashion and Austrian fashion design. In 2006 the event was relaunched as the festival for fashion & photography.
