Clemens en August

What is truly special about Clemens en August, apart from the label’s designs, is the sales concept. There are neither Clemens en August shops, nor are the pieces available at other shops or boutiques. And, try as you might, you won’t find any advertising for the brand.

 

To make up for that, Clemens en August take their collections on a tour through the world twice a year, turning galleries and museums in New York, Tokyo, Zurich, London and Vienna into exclusive boutiques. 

 

When the label had its first stopover in Vienna, the basement of Unit F at Gumpendorferstraße 10-12 was transformed to suit the sales needs of the label. Afterwards, the label resided at MAK - Austrian Museum of Applied Arts / Contemporary Art for a few seasons. This year for the first time Clemens en August will set up shop at the Leopold Museum.

 

The highly stripped down distribution structures enable the label to offer its high-quality pieces at affordable prices.
