However, Katarina Noever actually rejects the ”collection” term: “I am not a collector, I am someone who does not throw things away”, she points out when talking to Die Presse. We are very much looking forward to all the stuff she didn´t dump and that should be quite a lot.

And it would stand to reason that the pieces presented in the exhibition were most precious evening gowns by the most famous designers only ? but no: “Most of the pieces that I have been wearing all my life and that I am still wearing, I am having designed mostly by my friend Elisabeth Pichler. In the meantime I possibly have worn Armani costumes, Missoni dresses or outfits by Miyake . But the most important thing for me never was the zeitgeist, in a manner of speaking I was committed to the time and the intellect.” Thank you, Mrs. Noever for putting it that beautifully - we also try to follow that one!

And for all vintage fans there is a very special extra for marking red and in bold letters in your agenda:  on February 25 and 26, Ute Holzbauer and Elisabeth Pichler-Campos will sell pieces out of their own collections. Indeed fashion ASIDE from what was usual in the Sixties and the Seventies!
