Five brightly shining figures of the international design scene have been invited to leave the grounds of catwalks and advertising campaigns and deliver statements in the spheres of the arts expressly designed for this show: Viktor & Rolf, Naomi Filmer, Hussein Chalayan, Anna-Nicole Ziesche and Walter Van Beirendonck.

Apart from them, 25 other artists and designers will show that the fashion-specific principles automatically and self-consciously transgress themselves, touching fields that art claims for itself: the question of life and what it means.

Among other things, the exhibition features a six-metre high temple holding the sarcophagus of Walter Von Beirendonck, while in her installation “Memories” Anna-Nicole Ziesche uses fashion as a means to access memories, turning a personal history into a universal one.
