departure - wirtschaft, kunst und kultur GmbH is an institution of the City of Vienna aiming to support
the economic growth of the Creative Industries by means of various funding activities. Austrian design, fashion and music
labels have been fostered with considerable amounts of money in recent years, facilitating the investment in the development,
marketing and distribution of innovative products and services.
Selected projects from the field
of fashion funded by departure are presented on departure fashion night which is held as part of the festival
for fashion & photography. With its core competence in Austrian fashion design, Unit f büro für mode, official organisers
of the festival
for fashion & photography, is responsible for organising the departure fashion night which has been
held annually since 2005.
