pelican avenue

pelican avenue was founded by designer Carolin Lerch. She graduated from the Fashion Department at the Academy of Fashion Antwerp and afterwards worked as assistant to designer Bernhard Willhelm. Her label pelican avenue has committed itself to questioning the conventional codes of fashion and adopting an opposite standpoint to trends and hypes. pelican avenue aims to redefine fashion ideals beyond social norms and expectations while still designing wearable and functional garments. pelican avenue regularly presents collections during Paris Fashion Week. The label’s various projects were also shown at the Fashion Biennale 07 in Arnhem and at the 7 festival for fashion & photography in Vienna. In 2008 pelican avenue won the Die Presse Award for International PR at the 8 festival for fashion & photography.
