spike Art Guide East
It has been more than 20 years since the fall of the Iron Curtain and Vienna has since come to be surrounded by a few
cities more. Vienna is first of all no longer located on the outskirts of Europe but at the centre of cities and their art
scenes which despite everything remain a sort of mystery to most of us.
But that does not mean it has to stay
like this: the spike Art Guide East was released in early May, making it easier than ever before to get to know the cities
east of Vienna. The places where art takes place, the cafés and restaurants where like-minded people meet, the bars and clubs.
spike Art Guide East tells of the art scenes and their historical development in ten cities in Central and Eastern Europe.
Belgrade, Bratislava, Bucharest, Budapest, Ljubljana, Prague, Sarajevo, Sofia, Vienna and Zagreb. With interviews, articles
and tips by artists, curators, critics, gallery owners, collectors and creative people on site.
