Berlin Fashion Week

The shows during Mercedes-Benz Fashion Week Berlin are definitely the highlights in any fashion aficionado’s calendar for the next few days. LALA Berlin, Marcel Ostertag, Kaviar Gauche, to name but a few, will be presenting their Spring/Summer collections for 2011 at Bebelplatz. Michalsky, Damir Doma and ELLESSE by WOOD WOOD are also listed in the official show schedule but will be presenting their latest creations offsite.
 
Again, the fashion shows will be accompanied by a host of trade fairs like Bread & Butter Berlin, PREMIUM, 5.element.berlin or thekey.to and will be luring industry professionals, international buyers and media representatives to Berlin. For the first time this season, the formerly Frankfurt-based trade fair Bright will be adding to the spectacle in Berlin.
 
And, of course, there will again be several Austrian labels and designers using the opportunity to get exposed internationally:
 
The designer Lena Hoschek will be showcasing her SS11 collection at PREMIUM and will also be sending it down the runway at Bebelplatz.
 
The label Göttin des Glücks will present at Showfloor Berlin in the district of Kreuzberg‘s Umspannwerk.
 
Mangelware and superated are showing in Berlin‘s projektGALERIE Showroom and will also present their collections during a fashion show at BlackBoxTheater, on July 8.
 
Having his maiden appearance in Berlin is designer George Bezhanishvili. He will be showing his latest collection on the catwalk of HBC COUTURE Designer Scouts on Karl-Liebknecht-Strasse, right next to the TV tower. Manuela Baumgarten will be presenting her new collection during HBC COUTURE, as well.
