This year’s Austria Fashion Award winners were celebrated with champagne, flowers and awards valued at up to 40,000 EUR. The Fashion Award of the Federal Austrian Ministry for Education, the Arts and Culture went to Ali Zedwitz, who graduated from the Fashion Department at the University of Applied Arts Vienna and has already worked as Junior Designer at Jil Sander. She will use this award for a one-year internship with a renowned designer and to gain international contacts. If everything goes according to plan, she will intern for the Japanese designer, Issey Miyake.
 
The international jury gave the Fashion Award of the City of Vienna to Christina Berger. She was already nominated last year, this year she won the 10,000 EUR award granted for the participation in an international fashion trade fair or festival. She also attended the University of Applied Arts Vienna.
 
The Unit F Award for International PR went to Awareness & Consciousness - Christiane Gruber. This award includes the arranged representation through an international press agency as well as the covering of agency fees for one year, helping to establish the label in the international market.
