Lanvin and H&M brighten up fall 2010

H&M and Lanvin Designer Collaboration 2010 - Sample Panic Attack

This time all of this is more justified than ever as the designers of the both women´s and menswear collection are Alber Elbaz, artistic director of French haute couture label Lanvin and menswear designer Lucas Ossendrijver.

Most exciting about this cooperation with a guest designer is the fact that Alber Elbaz and Lanvin never intended to design for the mass-market: “I have said in the past that I would never do a mass-market collection, but what intrigued me was the idea of H&M going luxury rather than Lanvin going public. This has been an exceptional exercise, where two companies at opposite poles can work together because we share the same philosophy of bringing joy and beauty to men and women around the world.” says Elbaz.

The first picture of the collection shows Elbaz´ and Lanvin´s signature trademark of feminine glamour that brings together romantic details and asymmetric cuts all of which create a poetic yet contemporary cool and sexy silhouette.
We are looking forward to Lanvin typical details like satin ribbon, bows and open hems that are likely to be found in the affordable collection for H&M. And what would be more adequate to lift our spirits in grey November than the positive style of Lanvin - Elbaz himself summarizes his collection like this: “It´s actually a very happy collection for happy people.”

The outfits are still blurred in the preview videos on youtube and facebook but on November 2nd the Lanvin Loves H&M collection will be revealed to the world through a special film on H&M´s website.
Then we can start planning which piece we want to jump on first three weeks later!
So sharpen your elbows - the countdown is on!
