German-Austrian fashion label HARTMANN NORDENHOLZ was founded by Filip Fiska and Agnes Schorer in winter 2000. The label name is a combination of both their grandmothers maiden names. They met while studying at the University of Applied Arts Vienna.
Schorer, born in Tübingen/Germany, studied fashion design in the Fashion Department under Marc Bohan, Helmut Lang and Jean-Charles de Castelbajac. Fiska, born in Vienna/Austria, studied at the same place under Jean-Charles de Castelbajac, Viktor & Rolf and Raf Simons.
A connection between theory and high craftsmanship is the base of Hartmann Nordenholz. Fashion is a means of personal expression and of development. Each of our collections is a moments glimpse of our 'diary of reflexions'. Our approach is a critical one, in the sense that we question different forms of fashions appearance in society. The result of our conceptual work has to be a perfect product.
Visionary elegance combined with dignity and distance may be the keywords for each of their collections. In 2001 they won the Fashion Award of the City of Vienna. They have since regularly presented their collections in Paris.
