Natures of Conflict was founded in 2008 by Kathrin Lugbauer (*1982) und Nora Berger (*1984).
Both of them studied
at the University of Applied Arts, Vienna
under Raf Simons and Veronique Branquinho.
Berger worked as an intern for Philip Treacy and Veronique Branquinho and was a freelancer for fashion label Christina Berger. She was awarded the Magnum Award of Swiss Textiles Association in 2006 and the Fashion Award of the Federal Ministry for Education, the Arts and Culture as well as INDIE Magazine Award in 2007.
Lugbauer worked as an intern for Wendy & Jim, BLESS and Hussein Chalayan and was awarded the DIVA Editorial Award in 2004 and nominated for the Apolda European Design Award in 2008.
In 2010, Natures of Conflict was under the finalists of the Festival International de Mode et de Fotographie in Hyères, in 2011 the label was nominated for EVOQUE NextGen Award during 11 festival for fashion & photography. In the same year, they presented their S/S 11 collection in Los Angeles.
