On 20 January the tradeshow PREMIUM, held during Berlin Fashion Week, will once again find opinion leaders from the international fashion industry discussing relevant themes and trends as part of a symposium. And it seems that in 2010 everything blog-related will once again be the hot fashion topic, as this year‘s PREMIUM symposium will be all about: “Fashion Blogs - Hype or Future?“

Based on a quote by Suzy Menkes which says that “the world changed when fashion, instead of being a monologue, became a conversation; and that‘s never going to stop,“ up for discussion will be fashion blogs, their future and significance for print and online journalism as well as the communication between the media and their users.

The following speakers have been invited to shed light on this topic: Suzy Menkes from the International Herald Tribune (per video), Imran Amed from Business of Fashion, who as part of the 9 festival for fashion & photography was a guest speaker at the Fashion Blogger Day in Vienna last year, Marcus Loft from Gala, Christoph Amend from ZEITmagazin as well as Sven Schöne from the agency K-MB.

The panel will be hosted by Mary Scherpe, author of the blogs Stil in Berlin and Quite Contrary.
