Unit F succession

Marlene Agreiter and Camille Boyer are known in Austria´s fashion scene by their past projects such as the Kooperationsbörse and as initiators of the Austrian Fashion Showcase. They will succeed Ulrike Tschabitzer-Handler und Andreas Oberkanins who directed Unit F for twelve years successfully.

As says the pr text of BMUKK and the City of Vienna, their job will be to support Austrian fashion design with funding programs. Apart from that, international competitiveness of Austrian fashion designers shall be improved by consulting and development of tools. Another task will be to expand publicity and national and international commercial presence.

"Fashion is an autonomous artistic form of expression", says minister of culture, Dr. Claudia Schmied. "By public fashion funding we support designers to find their personal ways and make the Austrian fashion scene more public at the same time. I thank Unit F for their professional work throughout the last twelve years. By restructuring the fashion funding we want to cope with the tougher conditions of the international competition. Camille Boyer and Maria Agreiter have a lot of experience in the branch and are connected excellently. They will bring fresh air to the Austrian fashion scene."
