The unexpected, the breaking with conventions as well as creative communication strategies are the themes that the exhibited
works are dealing with. In terms of media used, the spectrum ranges from interactive tools to arts & crafts. CUTE
PUPPIES is designed to represent a new design generation and its self-conception.
Potential
interfaces between the economy and design will in the years to come take centre stage and redefine Vienna and thus Vienna
positions itself internationally as a location for young design.
Following WALKING
CHAIR. HAPPY LANDING, CUTE PUPPIES is the second exhibition in the series START_UP: Designers New Projects, still on
display until 26 October.
The group exhibition presents 14 Austrian and/or Austrian-based designers
and design collectives: Marian Grabmayer, Oliver Grimm, Valerie Gudenus und Sandra Reichl, Dejana Kabiljo, Kristian
Kloeckl, Grisha Morgenstern, Motmot - Anna Breitenberger and Stephen Kwon Reeder, Johanna Nock, POLKA, Hansi Raber, Stefan
Rauter, sensomatic, Tortenthimmel, Katrina Wiedner.
