Design fair at MAK - Austrian Museum of Applied Art/ Contemporary Art

For the 6th year running, BLICKFANG, the design fair for furniture, light, fashion and jewellery design, provides a platform for about 140 established as well as up-and-coming designers.

More than half of the exhibitors participate in it for the first time this year.

On display will be international as well as Austrian designers such as Gina Drewes, Ina Kent, km/a, Lila Pix, saperlipopette, LINIERT, Lila, Ulliko, mayi and many more.

The concept - young design to look at, touch and buy - has proven very successful. Last year more than 12,000 visitors came to see it. This year “Pre-Events” at various shops, exhibition spaces and boutiques offered the chance to enjoy design in all its different facets in the run-up to the actual fair.

As one of the highlights of the three-day design event, five talents have been given the opportunity as part of the student competition “BLICKFANGnext” to present their ideas in a professional setting. Moreover, the “BLICKFANG Design Award” recognises innovative product design. The by-invitation-only opening event will take place at the exhibition hall at MAK on 16 October at 7pm.
