Ulrike TSCHABITZER-HANDLER [email protected] Ulrike Tschabitzer-Handler has been working as a freelance curator since 1992 in fashion and crossover projects with architecture, new media, photography and electronic music. Her projects always involve artists from different areas. For Star Stop (1993), a series of events which took place every Sunday evening at the Maxim in Vienna, together with Erwin K. Bauer she invited Austrian artists, musicians, and architects, each of whom designed the visual environment for one evening. Ulrike Tschabitzer created the event series Moving Star for the Downtown Arts Festival in New York. In 1999, together with Christian Muhr she arranged a theme exhibition with international acclaim under the title fast forward - Mode in den Medien der 90er Jahre in the k/haus-Künstlerhaus Vienna. With some alterations, the fast forward exhibition was transferred to the CCAC Institute in San Francisco, where it ran successfully. In the same year she taught fashion presentation in the fashion course at the University of Applied Arts in Vienna. Ulrike Tschabitzer-Handler is the creative director of Unit F büro für mode responsible for managing exhibition concepts. Together with Nicole Adler she is chief editor of the fashion paper The All Season Fashion Paper. Andreas OBERKANINS [email protected] Having worked in advertising and PR (customer and press relations) for some time, Andreas Oberkanins made his first experiences in production and project management at the Internationale Modetage Vienna. From 1998 to mid-2000 he was responsible for exhibition management at the k/haus - Künstlerhaus Vienna. During this period, he developed and organised exhibitions such as fast forward - Mode in den Medien der 90er and sounds&files.; He also managed the transfer of fast forward to the CCAC Institute in San Francisco. Every year he volunteers for the Life Ball as backstage director (e.g. for Versace, Ferré, Missoni, Moschino, Cavalli, Lacroix, Westwood and Rabanne). Claudia REIFBERGER Katrin SEILER [email protected] [email protected] Katrin Seiler started as a student of German studies, history and political sciences before she moved to Munich to study at the AMD Akademie Mode & Design. There she took a diploma course in fashion journalism and media communication, a course which combines traditional journalism, costume history and fashion design with visual communications, marketing and PR studies. As a student she also worked in the field of research and publishing with Prof. Wippermann at the Trendbüro Hamburg, a consulting company for trend research and strategy development. She also gathered some experiences as editorial staff at Madame, a glossy womens magazine based in Munich. Katrin Seiler became a member of the Unit F team in January 2004. She started as an editorial staff member of SpringSummer FallWinter - The All Season Fashion Paper. In 2005 she took over the management of the CFA - Contemporary Fashion Archive. Her activities also include conception and organisation of exhibitions as well as publications. In addition, she is responsible for shortcuts, a bimonthly newsletter published by Unit F. |
