2001

The international jury consisting of Gerdi Esch / Flanders Fashion Institute - BE, Gerda Ott / Fachhochschule für Gestaltung Pforzheim - D, Angelique Westerhof / Arnhem Fashion Institute - NL and Andreas Bergbaur / Unit F büro für mode - A held its session on 2nd November 2001 and chose the following three designers out of 29 applications:

Modepreis der BKA - Kunstsektion
Agnes Bernèt
The clear and recognisable signature design, the professionality and the collection's international flair have been able to immediately convince the jury. Her potential makes Agnès Bernet meet the requirements to start her apprenticeship at an internationally renowned designer. Unanimously she was appointed the Modepreis der BKA - Kunstsektion 2001.

Modepreis der Stadt Wien
Hartmann Nordenholz
The collections by Hartmann Nordenholz combine generous silhouettes and contemporary feeling with classical traditions of couture. This combination has impressed the jury very much, and the members of the jury expect a promising international appearance of Hartmann Nordenholz, enabled by the Modepreis der Stadt Wien.

Unit F Preis für internationale Presse und Verkauf
Wendy & Jim
Their characteristic position in contemporary fashion business and their aesthetics, working out and accentuating the edgy part of fashion, made them unanimously the jury's choice for the Unit F Preis für Internationale Presse.
