JURY | DESIGNERS



Nicole Adler
founded her own label Machu Piccu, which for over 10 years she managed to establish with big success not only in her shop in Vienna, but also in the international fashion business. Since 1998 Nicole Adler is heading the department Fashion at the Austrian Fashion magazine DIVA. Together with Martina Wille she founded the photography agency Adler>Wille in 1999, mainly promoting young Austrian photographers.

Gerda Ott
studied at the Fashion department at the University of Applied Arts in Vienna. Since 1984 she is heading the department Fashion-Design at the Fachhochschule für Gestaltung in Pforzheim, Germany. Various teaching and lecturing work as well as excursions took her to New Delhi, New York, Milan, Paris, Antwerp, etc.

Myung Il Saba-Song
After studying Arts at Hanyoung University, Seoul, she also studied Design at the University of Applied Arts Vienna. Since 1997 Myung Il Saba-Song owns the design-shop Song, selling amongst others Martin Margiela, Dirk van Saene and Paul Smith. In her shop she also presents small exhibitions with Austrian artists.

Margit Wiener
studied Italian and German in Vienna and since 1987 has been working as freelance journalist for various magazines. Since 1993 Margit Wiener is writing at the Austrian daily newspaper Der Standard, where she is responsible for the department Fashion and Cosmetics in its colour-supplement Rondo.

Andreas Braun
Since 1995 he has been working at the Swarovski Group, his first initiative having been the positioning of the Swarovski Kristallwelt as a combination of industry, tourism and culture. Andreas Braun was appointed Head of Communication Swarovski worldwide in April 2000. Before 1995 he was head of the Tirol Werbung, where ha was responsible for the introduction of various innovative projects, such as visual communication and digital networks.

Herbert Winkler
attended the Design College in Linz, Austria, and was working for various PR companies (e.g. MMS) and magazines (e.g. Cash Flow, R&D Verlag, ahead) as art director. Since 1998 Herbert Winkler has been partner and Creative Director of the graphic design agency section d, Vienna and Hamburg, and since 2000 also Creative Director of the Wallpaper Group. He was awarded by, amongst others, the Society of Publication Designers New York (Gold Medal), the Creative Club Austria (Gold & Silver Award) and Communication Arts (Award of Excellence).
