The excellent photographers eye, the ability of mise-en-scène and a models mutability are the ingredients to this intangible magical appeal that makes portrait photography an art form and creates everlasting icons. In this context, the exhibition Forever Famous of fine art gallery PhotographersLimitedEditions.com displays masterpieces of the worlds most famous art, fashion and celebrity photographers. For years now, the works of these photo artists have been defining our visual everyday experience. Their images are hauntingly beautiful, just like the belles they are depicting.
In front of Albert Watsons camera advertising icon Kate Moss transmutes into a graceful Renaissance princess. Rankin, on the other hand, loves to provoke. By emphasising his models flaws and edges he is giving them a dramatic sex appeal. Roxanne Lowit chooses an entirely different path. Her images convey some sort of genuine truth of the world that lies behind the glamour and the beauty. Antoine Verglas is a master in creating images that appeal to all senses. His photographs are tender compositions, full of expression and seductive sensibility.
