austria wirtschaftsservice commissioned Unit F büro für mode to compile a comprehensive
package of measures for the incorporation of funding tools for small and medium-sized businesses from the fashion design sector
in the impulse funding programme of aws. The mechanisms and peculiarities of the fashion sector were carefully
taken into consideration.
Projects and purposeful funding measures were developed, taking
the already existing communal and nationwide funding programmes into account.
For the analysis of international best-practice models, a workshop with international speakers
was organised for the members of the aws. Experts invited to take part were Carina Heinz / designpool berlin (Germany), Barbara
Wendling / Stiftung Zollverein (Germany), Marc Gysemans / Gysemans Clothing Industry (Belgium) and Alexander Brenninkmeijer
/ Clemes en August (Germany).
The aim of
the project is the effective, structural funding of the economic growth of the fashion sector in Austria.
