The 6 festival for fashion, music & photography drew to a close last Sunday in Vienna. A total of over 4000 fashion-interested visitors attended the festival, which took place from 16th until 25th June 2006 in the Kunsthalle project space Karlsplatz, in the KUNSTRAUM NOE, in the main courtyard of the MQ and in the Old Auditorium of the Austrian Academy of Sciences.

There was considerable interest in not only the lectures by M / M from Paris, the designers from BLESS (Berlin/Paris) and Austrian artist and photographer Marina Faust, but also in the Shop Zone and high numbers of visitors were recorded.
The individual show evenings Departure Fashion Night (22.06.06), Austrian Fashion Awards Night (23.06.06) and the UO Fashion Night (24.06.06) plus the Fashion Matinee (25.06.06) were once again celebrated in a big way:
Alongside collections by Austrian designers petar petrov, FLorian, Licona Relaunch by Pirouzi and Fankhauser, Mühlbauer, house of the very island´s.. and elfenkleid there were also shows to be seen by "exiled Austrians" Edwina Hörl, Marios Schwab and the essence (Frank Leder&Florian; Horwath).

And once again the highlight of the event was the Fashion Awards ceremony; the Fashion Award of the Federal Chancellery went to Ajla Karic, the Fashion Award of the City of Vienna to Anna Aichinger, and the Unit F AWard for International
Press was awarded to Peter Pilotto.
The Awards were extended by three new awards: Tobias Bodio was pleased to win new jewellery award, so fresh. the jewellery award by Pierre Lang. The Kontakt. Fashion Award from Erste Bank went to Olah Gyarfas. And as another new highlight, photographer Georg Eckmayr received the Römerquelle Editorial Award for the first time. The exhibition of the 10 best submissions can be viewed until 27.07.06 in the KUNSTRAUM NOE.

As far as the music of the Festival is concerned, visitors were able to experience Bunny Lake, Microthol, DJ marfloW, Zeebee, Silicone Pumpgun, DJ Christopher Just, G.rizo and DJ Baumann live in the Old Auditorium of the Austrian Academy of Sciences and at the UO Fashion Party in Porgy&Bess.;

The event will be continued next year in June 2007 as the 7 festival for fashion, music & photography.
